Entering into the 21st Century; the development of the communication technology is ever changing. To catch up with this trend, the radio broadcasting business also needs to break through their traditional limit in order to serve their audiences better.

Chinese Radio launches its broadcast in this era with the advantage of the new generation. Using the internet, not only that we provide our audiences with news and entertainment programs through the traditional audio sound, we can now use an additional mean of communication – visual via web radio, to satisfy our audiences of the new generation as well as the traditional audiences.

Internet nowadays has penetrated into families all over the world. Although our target audiences are those who live at North America, we also welcome your support from other parts of the world.

Audiences of Chinese Radio are experienced media professionals from New York City. We pledge to provide the best quality news and entertainment programs to our audiences. We are proud that our colleagues from the other side of the world have also given us a helping hand by providing us their best news and other radio programs. We would like to give sincere thanks to Radio Television Hong Kong, Commercial Radio of Hong Kong & BBC News.

Although our headquarter is located in New York City, with the support of enthusiastic community leaders, government officials, leaders of the business community, as well as our audiences, we were proud and able to begin our broadcasting in Philadelphia as of April of 2006. We are still the only radio station that provides Chinese Language programs in the Delaware Valley – which includes the Metro Philadelphia area, and the southern sections of New Jersey.

Our Programming

In order to fulfill the needs of our audiences, we offer a mixed variety of programs. In our own studio, we have produce local news, weather, sports and talk shows that target different age groups. We have our own Billboard for the latest Chinese hit songs, as well as programs for our audiences to request songs.

We also obtain high quality programs from other parts of the world. We have daily and weekly news, as well as Public Affairs programs from Radio Television Hong Kong, Hong Kong Commercial Radio, BBC.

For those audiences who like radio dramas and entertainment news in Hong Kong, Chinese Radio is your best source. We have Hong Kong’s longest run radio drama “Flat 18C” plus other fantastic dramas in our program lineup. We also have the most famous entertainment news program of Hong Kong Commercial Radio “Va Va Voom”, in which Hong Kong artists and other famous artists are interviewed daily.

We also take special care of the needs of Chinese immigrants, especially those who do not speak English. Government officials and representatives from various social services organizations are regular guests of our daily program to answer questions from our audiences.

On our web page, we have information and links to other websites that our audiences may need or want to go to. From monthly Immigration Visa Bulletin to “Do Not Call” Registration, and even direct links to Lotto results, our resources will help the new immigrants adept their new lives a little easier.

Over 19.3 million visitors sailing through our website in year 2009 (based on 1and1.com), our outstanding and exciting programs have generated numerous requests from the New York Chinese community for us to expand our services. Our friends can now have a choice of listening to our programs through the internet or our special internet radio set. Audiences can access to our programs while they are not close to a computer. We believe that by adding this platform, the base of our audiences will be further expanded.
